Lower House Speaker Represents HM the King at Inauguration Ceremony of Liberian President

Speaker of the House of Representatives (lower house) Habib El Malki represented, Monday in Monrovia, HM King Mohammed VI at the inauguration ceremony of Liberia’s president-elect George Weah.

During this ceremony, which took place at Samuel Kanyon Doe stadium, El Malki reiterated, on behalf of HM King Mohammed VI, congratulations to the new president and the Liberian vice-president, wishing them full success in the fulfillment of their mission.

President Weah took oath of office before chairman of the Supreme Court Francis Korpor, in the presence of several African heads of State.

On Sunday, Habib El Malki was received in an audience by president Weah, who lauded on this occasion “the solidarity and cooperation that HM King Mohammed VI continues to promote at the African level”.

The Liberian president also expressed confidence that the Kingdom, faithful to its African tradition, will help Liberia in its quest for peace and prosperity.

Previously, El Malki held talks with Liberia’s vice president-elect Jewel Howard Taylor, who expressed her commitment, along with president Weah, to working closely with Morocco in particular to promote the socio-economic integration of the youth through meeting their aspirations in terms of education and employment.
