The first meeting of the restricted Arab ministerial delegation in charge of countering the U.S decision to recognize Al-Quds as Israel’s capital, was an opportunity for Morocco, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, to reaffirm its strong and constant solidarity with the Palestinian brotherly people in the defense of their just cause and the exercise of their legitimate rights.
For its part, the Arab ministerial delegation underlined at this meeting its commitment to the option of peace, which can only be achieved through a just settlement of the Palestinian question, in accordance with the principle of the solution of two States allowing the creation of an independent Palestinian State with Al-Quds as capital, and with resolutions of international legality and the Arab Peace Initiative.
The delegation agreed on an integrated plan of action in line with a common and realistic vision aimed at raising awareness among international actors and the international community of the repercussions of the U.S decision, both through the United Nations and its organizations and the various regional groupings.
The meeting was attended by the secretary-general of the Arab League and the Foreign ministers of Morocco, Jordan, Palestine, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
Morocco was represented at this meeting by a delegation, led by minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Nasser Bourita.
